The MHART Aztec coin pendant features the historic symbols used to calculate the days, seasons, and years in the Mesoamerican calendar. It consists of a 365 day cycle called Xiuhpohualli, and a 260 day ritual cycle known as Tonalpohualli. Together, these two cycles form a 52 year century. Bio

MHART is a New York–based jewelry brand handcrafted by designer Michael Hartney. Since 2010, every piece has been individually made by hand, using natural gemstones sourced from the earth and caged in finely-woven silver or gold chain — a design signature inspired by the geometry and strength of a spider web.
