I use chain to preserve the natural beauty of each stone while building a sculptural structure to hold and protect its form. Every piece starts the same way — not with a plan, but with the stone itself. I study its shape, its weight, the way light moves across it, and let that dictate everything that follows. The chain responds intuitively to the stone. It doesn't get forced into a mold or cut to fit a predetermined design — it wraps organically, link by link, until it forms an architectural shell around the stone's own natural geometry. Every link works in tension, creating a cage that's flexible enough to hold an irregular shape but strong enough to protect it for a lifetime. The chain doesn't hide the stone. It protects it. You can see the stone through every opening in the weave — the cage is a frame, not a wall. That's the whole philosophy in one image: the stone stays visible, its energy still comes through, and the chain is just the structure that lets you wear it.
