Peridot is one of the few gemstones that forms in only one color — green. The depth and intensity varies stone to stone, from pale lime to rich olive, depending on where it formed and how much iron it contains. This one is raw, uncut, and hand-caged in .925 sterling silver exactly as it came out of the earth.

The chain is linked around the stone's natural shape, letting the structure follow the form rather than forcing the stone into a setting. The cage holds it. The stone stays fully visible.

Bio

MHART is a New York–based jewelry brand handcrafted by designer Michael Hartney. Since 2010, every piece has been individually made by hand, using natural gemstones and silver or gold chain — a design signature inspired by Gaudí's architecture — the Modelo Funicular.
